What makes my Parties Special?

SMALL GROUPS. Success is guaranteed for beginners with my clear step-by-step guidelines and whatever time it takes because I keep my groups small.

EXPERIENCE. My experience makes yours relaxed and fun. It's also encouraging for experienced artists as I include handy, professional takeaways for creating future art.

BYOB (alcohol, that is...coffee and tea are included here). You can bring your own snacks too, OR I can supply hors d'oeuvres or charcuterie, an ARTSY cupcake palette, or themed decorations for a reasonable fee.

Excuses to Party

To get off the couch; to make memories with some faraway friends or family members; for a private celebration; to meet new people or hang out with old friends; a birthday party, girls' night, date night, bachelorette; team-building your business, church events; winery visits. . .

Where to Party?

MY PLACE. A homey teaching studio at 9 Jubilee Dr. St. Catharines, ON CA, comfortably seating a dozen people around a large table. Plenty of free, on-street parking.

YOUR SPACE. A home, business, or community space within Niagara with adequate tables, chairs, lighting, and access to a sink. A travel fee of .50/km applies.

ONLINE. Via Zoom meetings. (For a full experience, download the app). Laptops/desktops and 1 screen per person are strongly suggested.

Partying Price? Prices are PER PERSON and include taxes

$60 2-6 participants: about 1.5 hrs

Birds on a Wire Acrylic and Metallic paints on between an 8" and 16" rectangle Canvas. A stunning teal, gold and black piece. The colour theme can be altered for your group. Silver/grey/black or other.	The Owls Have It! Small playful watercolour owl on paper	Your "Fauvest" Pet Paint your pet in the modern "fauves" (wild beast) style. Acrylic on canvas.
Ebb and Flow Intro to soft (chalk) pastel on paper. The Jelly fish is a magnificent display of beauty. This is a contemplative time of imagining and creating your own deep sea world and exploring the application of chalk (soft) pastels. Get ready to get your hands dirty. Your piece can later be matted and framed.	Fish in the Shallows + Learn to draw then paint in acrylic on canvas, this graceful fish. Choose your own background and fish colour. Learn tones and tints to create a dimensional look. This piece will be ready to hang since it will be painted on a wrap around canvas. Acrylic on canvas. -student sample-	Water for Elephants Learn how to draw an elephant (or just trace one) and then basic water colour mixing techniques imagining an African sky. Go home walking alongside your watercolour elephant...into the sunset. Your piece can be matted and framed.
Watercolour Creatures This is a very fun and exploratory venture into the beauty of watercolours. NO experience needed. A little imagination may be helpful but not necessary. Learn about washes, bleeding, colour contrasts and wet-mixing. You will create between 3 and 5 creatures using Water colour on watercolour paper. These can be made into cards or framed.	Cacti Collection Dreaming of Arizona? Paint it! Pick your favourite and receive tips on colour selection, mixing, and drawing...creating 3-5 unique cacti with various textures and colours. Acrylic on canvas.	A Leaf for All Seasons Have fun splashing and dribbling ink while learning "contour drawing" - a leaf for any season! Your piece will be done on between a 6' and 10" square canvas.
Fresh A watercolour fruit or vegetable of your choice on acid free paper. Drawing lesson and beginner watercolour. Includes a frame.	sailboat Sitting at the beach or in a kitchen, you can learn simple washes to create sailboat lake scenes. Art card workshop creating 6 cards in watercolour. These could be framed as well.	Beach Visit Acrylic on between 8" and 12" square canvas. This scene uses smooshing and splattering! Acrylic on canvas.
Off-Shore A good intro to painting. Acrylic on between 5" and 12" rectangle canvas or canvas board using various painting techniques. Using any or all of the following: washes, colour mixing, sponging, smooching, dabbing, stencilling.	Moody Autumn Pastel on Paper. Choose your own colours and created your own walk in the forest.	Fall Birch Grove This suits a more modern setting in your home. This beginner's acrylic is great for any season. Snow, leaves, birds - or even a hammock can be added! The Bamboo An introduction to the art of Chinese Ink on Paper. This is a calming experience and the process is as important as the outcome. After Matisse Cut Outs Paper Collage. This piece can later be framed. Modern artist, Henri Matisse established a new technique called "gouaches découpées (cut collage) - Come learn about composition and how to "paint with scissors" too!
